MACHmit! Museum for Children
dinsdag 17 november 2015
Younger visitors to Berlin are spoilt for choice in many areas – the numerous playgrounds dotted around the city, Legoland , two zoo’s, the Technical Museum, the Natural History Museum (located rather conveniently right next to Miniloft) and a whole host of other treats. But travelling with children always means new alternatives are welcome – which is where the MACHmit Museum for Children comes in.
A New Friend for Miniloft

What with it being right on our doorstep, the Naturkundemuseum (or Natural History Museum) is one of the best Berlin sites. And towards the end of this year, there is going to be even more reason to come visit, particularly those with a liking for the Jurassic era. Because from December, the Naturkundemuseum will be displaying one of the best...Berlin with a baby on board
maandag 16 februari 2015
Looking after a baby doesn’t have to scupper your travel plans – especially in Berlin. This is a city with a district secretly dedicated to the Kindercafe (step forward, Prenzlauer Berg), where the transport is integrated enough to keep you moving in the right direction and where you’re highly unlikely to encounter a sour-faced look for...The Water Playground at Nordbahnhof
woensdag 20 augustus 2014
In the summer there is no end of water-based fun in Berlin. From the Badeschiff to the lakes that punctuate the outer rim of the city, to the numerous Sommerbäde (lidos) that open their doors, splash time is pretty abundant in the city. Bringing your family to Berlin for a trip? The city can seem bewildering sprawling for a whole family to find something to enjoy – but the reality is, you are spoilt for choice when it comes to all-round activities.
Legoland Discovery Centre

Growing up in a house surrounded by LEGO blocks, the possibilities were endless. We had a local airport for a hospital that served a quiet sleepy village filled with Star Wars characters, in many many games that often included parents alongside instruction manuals. LEGO has always been more than your average toy for all ages, so no surprises that Berlin’s LEGOLAND Discovery Centre at Potsdamer Platz is more than your average theme park.
Black light miniature golf
dinsdag 29 november 2011
Most people don't come to Berlin to go golfing, but on a short and gloomy day, it's like going under a sunlamp, just way more fun! If putting is your passion get your fix in Kreuzberg's Gorlitzer Park at Schwarzlicht Minigolf Berlin. Although it gets dark at 15:30 these days, never fear: the course is indoors and lit by black lights.

Spring is in the air, and there's no better way to celebrate Easter in Berlin than a visit to the new animal babies at our two zoos.
Natural History Museum

Berlin's incredible Natural History Museum is just around the corner from Miniloftmitte ('Naturkundemuseum' is even our subway stop). With over 30 million objects, the 'Museum für Naturkunde' is one of the most important and largest natural history collections in the world.
