Asian-European fusion restaurants are becoming distressingly more frequent in Berlin - they all seem to serve the same dishes - but Dudu definitely comes out at the top of the pack. The serve gorgeous, high quality sushi, tasty pho soup, and popular roast beef and papaya salads.

Bar 25 was forced to close its hedonistic gates back in September, but the party lives on, in part. Their neighbors down the river, Radialsystem, are hosting Bar 25's restaurant until the end of February.

The Berlinale 2011 begins in one month. January is basically hibernation time in Berlin - I've noticed that our present guests here at Minilofts have borrowed some DVDs and are cosying up in their apartments. (But in a way it's also a great month to visit Berlin - no lines at the Pergamon Museum or the Reichstag, long, relaxed dinners in warm candle-lit restaurants, Metropolis accompanied by a live orchestra... and the parties are more wild cause once everyone gets there, they stay.)

Not only do we have the public-friendly Berlinale, an international film festival where normal people can actually get tickets - there's also Transmediale and Club Transmediale to further brighten our days and nights.
