Monday, November 16, 2009
We're already excited for Christmas in Berlin! Only one week left until most of the Christmas Markets open for the holiday season, bringing light and warmth to the dark Berlin winter days.
Boros Collection
Tuesday, November 3, 2009
There's a massive WWII bunker a few blocks away from the Miinlofts. Known in East German times as the 'Banana Bunker' (its cool temperature made it perfect storage for fruit), wild fetish parties rocked the concrete walls in the 1990s, until it was bought by Christian Boros in 2003 to house his highly impressive collection of modern art.
Henne
Thursday, September 24, 2009
At Henne, a Berlin institution, chicken-loving West Berliners used to lick their fingers with a distinctive view - the Berlin Wall stood right smack in front of the entrance. The menu is simple and to the point: a half chicken (€7,50), fried to perfection in a buttermilk batter, served with country bread, and sides of potato or slaw (€3,50).

Friday, September 18, 2009
It's a glorious weekend for the Berlin Marathon, folks, the sun is shining in a bright blue sky, and the weather for Sunday should be around 25 degrees... OK, it'll be perfect conditions for the spectators, the runners would perhaps prefer a some cloud cover and chill.
Opera!
Tuesday, September 15, 2009

Tresor club is legendary. First opened in 1991, it was the city's first and best techno club. Forced out of its Potsdamer Platz location in 2005, it reopened two years later in a giant former power plant.
TV Tower
Monday, August 10, 2009
The retro Berlin TV Tower at Alexanderplatz (or Fernsehturm), the 368 m (1,207 ft) tall status symbol of East Berlin, turns the ripe old age of 40 this October.
Badeschiff
Wednesday, July 8, 2009
Before Badeschiff, only ducks, punks and the very brave could swim in the Spree River.
Nordic Embassies
Wednesday, June 24, 2009
Embassies are among Berlin’s modern architectural highlights, as the city suddenly found itself the capital of a reunified Germany after the fall of the Wall. The Nordic Embassies complex – comprising the embassies of Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway and Sweden in one connected structure, completed in 1999 – is particularly enticing.
Chi Sing
Wednesday, June 24, 2009
A Miniloft guest waxed ecstatic over Chi Sing’s mango and coconut shake, so, our curiosity piqued, we headed over to check out the fashionable tranquility at the invitingly chic Vietnamese restaurant.
