Berlin is synonymous of art and design; it is something cultural that comes from its seething history and its diversity. The German capital is growing very quickly in many activities, and Fashion is one of them. Friday, July 10, 2015
For a city renowned for a huge sense of history, creativity and individuality, it’s no surprise Berlin fully embraces vintage shopping. A desire to stand out often lets locals go rummaging through the past, whether it’s at a flohmarkt, in a cavernous basement of clothing sold by the kilo (yes, such places do exist here) or in a high-end...Organic Shopping in Berlin

Ahh Berlin, a city where organic (or Bio as we call it here) is truly treasured and embraced by a growing number of the population. Sophienstrasse Berlin
Friday, December 5, 2014
Tucked away in the ever more modern Mitte district, Sophienstrasse is one of those streets where you can get lost in the romance of old world Berlin. Named after the Prussian Queen Sophie Luise, the 19th Century influence still pervades the street, with a mix of interesting local shops and the Sophienkirche.

Farmers style markets and bio markets are big in Berlin at the moment. Over the last few years, various squares and streets have become new homes to weekly meetups where you can browse and shop produce from near and not so far away. So the arrival of the Okomarkt at Nordbahnhof (round the corner from us) is music to our ecologically sound ears at Miniloft.
The Dong Xuan Center
Friday, March 28, 2014
There are many reasons to take a quick trip east and head to the Dong Xuan Centre. But it’s also a treasure box of wholesale wares that range from the sublime to the incredibly plastic (a smell that will definitely waft past your nose whilst walking around), a place to buy some aromatic and soothing Pho – a clear and fragrant soup with beef and noodles – to nourish you in between all the wandering around.

Rixdorf Christmas Market
Tuesday, November 29, 2011
The Rixdorf Weihnachtsmarkt is one of Berlin's prettiest Christmas markets. Rixdorf was once a little village that got swallowed up by the big city, and the charming tree-lined square, lit by gas lamps, still has an old-fashioned air. The market is on for one weekend only, and it's small and sweet, with great food, a small stage with carolers and children's shows, pony rides, and even the three Magi with real camels.

Berlin-based Gestalten publishers have opened a huge, beautiful new space in Mitte devoted to their stellar vision of cutting-edge art, photography and design. It's gorgeous! The new, 350-square-meter shop and gallery is designed as a space for exhibitions and a 'platform for exchange'.
