Sonntagskonzerte at Clärchens Ballhaus
Thursday, November 14, 2013
Berlin is often painted as a city that refuses to go to sleep – particularly for those with a taste for techno. But electronic beats are not the only music on offer, and for anyone looking for a more civilised Sunday evening, the Sonntagskonzerte at Clärchens Ballhaus offers a real Berlin treat.
Jüdische Mädchenschule
Sunday, October 20, 2013
Auguststrasse, just a blocks away from Miniloft, has crafted a rather salubrious reputation amongst other Berlin streets. With galleries, countless cafés and restaurants, it’s another typically Mitte street filled with things to do. And taking a trip round the renovated Jüdische Mädchenschule allows for a microcosm of Mitte, under one roof.

Monday, September 9, 2013
Distinguished guests of Miniloft Berlin are in plentiful supply, not that we would generally kiss and tell. But we had to share the news that we’ve got a great band called Spaceships are cool soon to be staying with us.

Right around the corner from Miniloft lays the Langenbeck-Virchow-Haus – a building that is now used as a conference centre, but boasts a fascinating history as a site of Berlin. Earmarked for construction in 1910 and completed in 1915, it now belongs to the Langenbeck-Virchow-Haus GbR, consisting of the German Surgical Association(Deutsche Gesellschaft für Chirurgie) and the the Berlin Medical Association (BMG-Berliner Medizinische Gesellschaft).

Open Air in Berlin
Thursday, May 23, 2013
In the winter, it sometimes is hard to muster up enough layers to get out and about in the city – but then again, this doesn’t stop Berlin offering multiple outdoor options during the winter chill. And that out and about attitude really comes into its own as soon as the snow melts and the sun starts shining. Open-air events spring up all through to the end of summer, with plenty of ways to enjoy the city alongside a breath of fresh air.
The Wye
Friday, May 3, 2013
Office spaces may not seem like a natural destination for a getaway, but what happens when the space becomes more than office? An increasing number of Berlin spaces refuse to be confined to the 9-5 week, choosing to mix work and play in the process. One fine example of this is The Wye (http://thewye.de/), a public art space that is fast becoming an essential part of Berlin’s creative landscape.
Gay Events in Berlin
Wednesday, April 10, 2013
Berlin has long held a reputation as one of the most tolerant cities in the world, with a large and vibrant gay scene. The historical epicentre was around Schöneberg; now, Kreuzberg, Prenzlauer Berg and Friedrichshain all boast their districts. With a yearly calendar of international events, plus club nights and bars a plenty, Berlin is open for all.
