Street food is not a new concept to this fair city Miniloft calls home – with Berlin still in the throes of a street food renaissance thanks to numerous pop-ups and regular meetups, including Bite Club and the weekly Street Food Thursdays at the Markthalle Neun in Kreuzberg. There, the emphasis is looking beyond Berlin’s streetside gastronomic heritage (in other words, kebabs and currywurst) and taking in an eclectic array of delights from across the world, that you can conveniently munch wherever, whenever.
Tin Tan Berlin is definitely in the same vein as this latter street food scene, offering up some delicious Mexican street food. Expect soft tacos piled high with authentic, melt in your mouth fillings, homemade guacamole and pickles and mescal sourced from local distilleries. And just because the food is street, doesn’t mean you have to takeaway. Tin Tan has plenty of space in it’s canteen to sit down for a lunch or dinner – and all conveniently just down the road from us.
