Berlin is a very flat city. This makes it ideal for walking and cycling, but it does mean it lacks the long views you would find in say Greenwich Park in London or from the Sacré-Cœur in Paris.

Berlin TV Tower
Easily the highest thing around and recognised all over the world, float UFO-like over the centre of town.
Reichstag Cupola
Wind your way up the glass dome learning about German history while looking down on history being made in the parliament chamber below.
Vertigo guaranteed
Siegesäule (Victory column)
Located in the middle of Tiergarten, this stone column with a golden statue of Victory on top looks like a trophy. You may want a medal after climbing the 285 steps to the top.
Gasometer Schöneberg
Unparalleled views of the city as you circumnavigate this monument to Berlin's industry. Not for the faint-hearted. No really, if you have heart conditions etc you are advised to try a tamer option.
Centre of the City
Weltballon
Often seen from the Miniloft office window, this balloon hovers majestically over the area near to Checkpoint Charlie and Martin-Gropius-Bau. This only flies in good weather.
Kollhoff Tower, Potsdamer Platz
Ride the fastest elevator in Europe to the top of a building at the centre of the fully redeveloped Potsdamer Platz area. The viewing deck also has lots of interesting information about how the area went from city centre to death strip and back to economic powerhouse.
