That Torstrassehas garnered a reputation as one of the most up and coming places to eat in Berlin is pretty old news – plenty of new Mitte institutions have sprung up along the admittedly mammoth thoroughfare for a little while now. And you can definitely add Friedel Richter to the ever-growing list.
Friedel Richter is one of the restaurants where nothing is too fancy, but everything is done well. Expect a hefty helping of traditional German delicacies, mixed in with a couple of inventive and modern twists and plenty of organic goodness to back it all up. Bonus points for their local Berlin tofu, lovely surroundings and the drinks aren’t half bad either. And what with it being a short wander from Miniloft, it’s another option to add to your list for when you fancy good food close to home.
