What with it being right on our doorstep, the Naturkundemuseum (or Natural History Museum) is one of the best Berlin sites. And towards the end of this year, there is going to be even more reason to come visit, particularly those with a liking for the Jurassic era. Because from December, the Naturkundemuseum will be displaying one of the best preserved T-Rex skeletons for no less than three years.
Already known as Tristan, the skeleton is not only for those who hid behind the sofa watching Jurassic Park – it’s an all ages treat. And to give you a hint at the scale, we’ve been told that Tristan’s skull is around about the 1.5 meter mark, with pieces of the dinosaur arriving over the next few weeks before being constructed into a whopping 13 meter long skeleton. Tristan, we can’t wait to meet you.
