Berlin is well known for Techno music, but before Watergate and Berghain there was Jazz.
There are lots of bars and clubs hosting jazz concerts and jam sessions in Berlin.
Also, some festivals like theJazz im Park, the Xjazz festival or the Bergmanstraßenfest.
One of the most important is Jazzfest Berlin, that this year will take place from the 5th to the 8th of November across various venues.
The festival is more than 50 years old and during this time, has been host to more than 5000 artists such as Miles Davis, Charles Mingus and Duke Ellington.
