In the new wing of our building we have floor heating and, in any case, all our lofts are cosy and warm in winter but, if you still want some slippers and you have forgotten, you can get some new ones at Jünemann's Pantoffeleck in Torstrasße 39.

Jünemann's Pantoffeleck (Young man's slippers) is a family-run business, open since 1908, now is the fourth generation who are creating high quality handicraft slippers.

It all began in 1908 in Magdeburg with the company founder Bernhard Jünemann. He began with the production of the slippers. His son, Otto Jünemann, took over the company in 1927 and moved to Berlin, more precisely in the district of Mitte in the Lottumstraße. From there, he moved several times, but always in the center of Berlin: Mitte or Prenzlauer Berg. Difficult times such as the global economic crisis were overcome as well as both world wars ...

During the Second World War, they have to sell in the streets. The slippers were exchanged for food and the soles had to be cut from car tires.

Otto Jünemann died in 1957 and from then on his wife, Editha Jünemann, continued the business. It must be mentioned that Otto and Editha had 12 children together! The youngest son, Günter Jünemann took over the factory in 1968 and moved again until she came to Torstraße 39 (then Wilhelm-Pieck-Str.) in 1981 and is still to this day.

In 1991, Reno Jünemann, the older of 2 sons of Günter Jünemann, completed the operation as a fourth generation. He has taught orthopedic shoemakers and has been leading the company since 2007. Since joining the company, he has been taking care of the traditional production as well as making extra extravagings (further stretching, leg shortening, etc.) and sending the slippers.
