There is this short period of just a few weeks, when the cherry trees are in bloom in Berlin and if you find the right spot, you can have a magical experience and transports you right into spring.
One of these places is not far from Miniloft Mitte at Mauerpark. 215 cherry trees line what once was the death strip at the Berlin wall from the neighborhood of Prenzlauer Berg to Wedding. Or you take the train to Wollankstrasse, get off and walk towards Bürgerpark Pankow - another wonderful walkway lined by dozens of cherry trees.
The biggest accumulation of cherry trees can be found in the south of Berlin, right behind the border to Brandenburg: On the famous Mauerweg, you can walk under 1000 cherry trees on TV-Asahi-Kirschblütenallee. Or visit Gärten der Welt (Gardens of the World) - they have created a Japanese Garden and even hold a cherry blossom festival each year in April (canceled for 2021).
Most importantly, keep your eyes open, there are single cherry trees and roads lined with cherry trees everywhere throughout the city. And even at Miniloft Kreuzberg, on the terrrace of Café Nullpunkt, you can sit under the pretty pink flowers if you come and visit during April.
