The Berlin Film Festival is back, lighting up February with glitz, glamour and 10 days of exciting new films. Sections include the Competition, films with broad appeal (more "Hollywood"), Panorama, independent and art-house cinema, and the Forum, the most experimental section, as well as a broad selection of new and old German films and kids' films. Almost all films are subtitled in English (English OV subtitled in German). Unique among film festivals for its accessibility, Berlinale tickets are easy to get – pre-order premieres or high-demand online or buy tickets same-day at one of the theatre box-offices at the main hub at the Potsdamer Platz Arkaden or scattered around the city. See the Berlinale website for the full programme.
