With estimates ranging from 60 – 100 over the advent period, it’s best to hone your selection to avoid Glühwein fatigue. Getting to the Messe Berlin and ICC (exhibition grounds and congress center) is very easy with Berlin’s excellent public transportation. Walk or take the bus two stops from the Minilofts to Hauptbahnhof (main train station), then transfer to the S-Bahn to the Messe Süd station. The entire trip, door to door, takes less than 30 minutes.

Walk three minutes to Naturkundemuseum U-Bahn, then it’s a quick 10 minute metro ride to Platz der Luftbrücke. Torstrasse is loud, it's wide, it's dirty - and lately it's morphed into one of the most exciting streets in Berlin. In contrast to the sterile name-brand shopping to its south and the cutesy cobblestone cafe-filled streets to the north, Torstrasse is hopping with small galleries, junk shops, little designer shops, über-hip bars (Trust Bar).
