Every February, the Messe Berlin prepares the ITB Berlin. The Charité was founded in 1710 by King Frederick I of Prussia in anticipation for the arrival of the bubonic plague to Berlin, the Charité has been there to see Berlin develop ever since. In its 300 year history it has housed numerous great scientists including Rudolf Virchow, who spent his time there developing his cell theory. It also boasts many Nobel Prize winning alumni.
